I am a Brooklyn based visual and social practice artist originally from the Bay area, California. I’ve attended fine arts programs at The Marchutz School of Art, Columbia University, and Saint Mary’s College of California. My primary interest lies in the connection between social-emotional awareness and its influence in the process of creation. My work explores personal narratives, often deconstructing stories of grief and longing through the abstraction of color and form. Much of my work focuses on intuitive gestural dynamics, using mark making and geometric construction to express sensations of emotion or environment through a hyper focused study of color and form. I believe that art is a human right and am deeply involved in the Mental Health and arts education communities, and strive to develop community based projects and activations that make both sharing and making art more accessible to New Yorkers.
